Alcohol Education Project China
The Alcohol Education Project China aimed to reduce risky alcohol behaviors among adolescents. The background research conducted for the project was used to help address cultural expectancies specific to this Target audience. Given the changes taking place in Chinese society, in particular the “import” of Western drinking practices, it was decided to consider the degree to which a person accepts new or imported values when traditional cultural practices are challenged by new cultural values and attitudes introduced from outside.
A detailed summary of this program and its evaluation is included in the Programs section of the Guide.
